Italian Officials Inaugurate Italian Pavilion at Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C.

Fancy Food ShowJune 18, 2012 ~ Luca Franchetti Pardo, the Deputy Chief at the Italian Embassy in Washington officially inaugurated the Italian Pavilion at the Summer Fancy Food Show. Pardi, who was accompanied by Lorenzo Galanti, the Embassy's Economic Attache, and Aniello Musella, the trade commissioner for the U.S., noted that the U.S. is one of Italy's largest markets. In 2011, the U.S imported more than $3.6 billion worth of Italian food products.

 

 

Italy @ Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington

June 19, 2012 ~ The 58th annual Summer Fancy Food Show brought more than 200 exhibitors from Italy to Washington, D.C. The Italian Pavilion occupied an area of ​​fancy food showapproximately 23,000 square feet and one could have spent a whole day tasting and chatting about the authentic Italian foods. Around the perimiter of the Italian section, a few Italian American companies were also showing their food specialties. We enjoyed appetizers prepared by Italian Chef Domenico Maggi at the tasting table for the Apulia Region. For dessert, we loved the authentic Sicilian cannoli from Sapori della Nostra Terra,
