10|11|10 ~ Today's Wall Street Journal features an excellent story by Lauren Schuker about director Sofia Coppola, her new movie "Somewhere" and growing up with her famous filmmaker father Francis Ford Coppola. Sofia Coppola, who won an Academy Award for her screenplay for "Lost in Translation seven years ago, tells the Journal that her latest movie is not a memoir, although the main characters are a movie star and his 11-year old daughter. "My childhood was so different--I grew up in the country, not Hollywood, and my parents are still married," she said. Further, her own upbringing with her father was "far more harmonious than the father-daughter relationship portrayed in the film." "Somewhere" opens in select cities on Dec. 22.
